If u are not ready to jump in the calorie counting wagon, just try it for a few days (I recommend my fitness pal) to have an idea of how many calories certain foods have, specially if you tend to eat roughly the same foods during the week. Get a cheap scale if it makes it easier, or get one of those dishes that have separated portions to have an idea of how much you need of each to cunsume. Now I have to say thou that if your goal it’s maintaining, or bulking, it’s so much easier to just eye it as you eat 90% healthy, at least that’s what I’ve had experienced. About if your goal is to loose, portions and calories do matter.
